Question by Ash: Can I buy a MAC pigment, press a bit of it for one eye shadow palette spot, and then return the pigment?
I know its kind of cheating.. But will they let me return a pigment that has a tiny chunk gone? Within the 30 day return policy?

I’m a little caught between the matte and the shimmer. I love shimmer, but I’m wondering if getting the shimmer palette will be a mistake. Maybe I’ll decide I want more matte colors? I’m younger, so I want my makeup to look fun and fresh without being trashy and over the top. I really love coastal scents and will probably end up getting both eventually, but right now I’m on a budget. Which one is the most versatile/best to start out with?

I love the matte pallet. The matte pallet actually has a few metallic (neutral: silvers, brows, coppers, etc.) colors, so you’ll get your fix of shimmer in there.

I find that matte is a lot more wearable and a lot more versatile – so I definitely recommend it if you’re younger.

I looked at coastalscents.com, and the price is pretty good but the shipping costs about half of what the palette’s worth!! I’m debating whether it’s worth paying $ 11 for shipping on something that costs $ 21…
