NYX Single Eyeshadow Palette & Labeling

Published by admin at 3:06 am under eyeshadow palette

I just wanted to show you all another way to organize your palettes without buying pricey Michael’s scrap booking stickers. I also wanted to show off my NYX single shadow palette I made using Pursebuzz’s idea. I kind of lost my train of thought when one popped out of the palette during the video. So here are the steps I took to make my palette: 1) Buy an empty 15/28 palette here: www.starsmakeuphaven.com 2) Depot 1 NYX eyeshadow 3) Place the eyeshadow pan face down onto the foam circles and center it 4) Carefully trace the pan with an exacto knife 5) Tear away cut corners & insert depotted NYX single shadows! :D It’s pretty easy to I recommend this project to those of you that have an overwhelming amount of NYX singles.

instead of magnets you could buy a tape which has glue on both sides… it works for eyeshadows and its very thin

ya my mom said i should start using the base so it sticks. and i like the too faced products from sephora i have a too faced neutral pack. it comes with browns and golds, its great. thank you

@carissa642 try the elf studio line eyeshadows. I own a few & they are just as good as nyx. not quite mac but still pretty good for $3. do you use a base for your shadows? if not you should try, it really makes a difference. i recommend too faced eye shadow insurance :]

    Hope this helps!

i know this is off topic but, i use mac eyeshadows and nyx eyeshadows, and my mom recently bought me every eyeshadow elf has…. and i was trying them out and none of thm seem to b as pigmented and as colorful as mac and nyx.
so is it just the eyeshadows or is that how it is for everyone?
like it is just to light no matter how many layers i put of that same eyeshadow, and it wears off after 2 hours so i haveto reapply the eyeshadow.

i dont have this problem with any other product, only elf

Also forgot to say you can buy magnetic empty palettes of eBay too – but they come in 12′s. Just search “empty magnetic palette”.

Have you tried using magnetic tape?

Also you could use the 28 palettes of eBay which are a little deeper?

  17. hellovanillasnowon 14 May 2010 at 11:23 am

no. i ended up just peeling the foamy part & sticking it into a mac palette. you can see it in my depotting tutorial :]

    did sticky tape work?

  19. hellovanillasnowon 14 May 2010 at 12:36 pm

I absolutely LOVE the nyx singles :]

I went to the heat depotting method too! I was using Enkore’s method and cracked so many shadows that way. I decided to switch after breaking a brand new MAC shadow so badly I had to repress it and ended up losing some product. That was it for me! Nice vid. I need to start collecting NYX singles. Their chrome shadows are gorgeous pressed, and if you use the right pans they fit in the MAC palettes!

i search other palettes for the square nyx shadows…and hands down..yours is the prettiest and neatest :) im ordering mine now. question for you….the palette is magnetized right? if not i was wondering what you used to make them stick AND how long did it take for you to get your empty palettes :) i know it was a long time ago. im impatient and i hate to wait 10 years for it to come in :) thank you for this video! 5 stars!!!!

  23. hellovanillasnowon 14 May 2010 at 2:53 pm

if you listen in the video I state that I cut them myself to fit nyx singles. its not advertised as a nyx palette. its a regular circle palette that i cut into squares.
